I researched A TON of dip stations before buying this station from ProSource. I even purchased a highly rated one on Amazon, but ended up sending it back because it was WAY TOO wide (about 25"). Width is something to pay attention to when doing dips. You should look for a station that has grips about as wide as your shoulders, or just an inch or two wider. Very few of the non-adjustable stations fit the width of an average size person. There is a lot of varying information out there, but going too wide with your dips puts your shoulders in a very vulnerable position for damage. I am 5'9" and my shoulders are about 18 inches wide. What I like about this station is that the width between the handles is highly adjustable, from 16 ¼” to 23 ¼”. Also, unless you are really tall, this station should accommodate knee raises and leg raises (even with your legs straight). This station is also very solid and will not tip. I also appreciate that you can do a variety of exercises on it, unlike dip stations that are made for dips only. This unit was easy to assemble (took me about 15 minutes) and comes with all the tools you need. It is one of the most affordable units on the market as well. So, what are you waiting for? I can guarantee you that you will be hard-pressed to find a dip station at this price point, or any price, that is as adjustable and solid as this one. I am one of the pickiest people I know and I don't regret getting this unit for a second!
It was easy to put together and a lot of fun to use. There are so many workouts you can do using the dip station. I would definitely recommend it.
Exactly what I was looking for
Pros: the overall construction of the item was surprisingly robust, good metal material that included sturdy parts and an easy installation. Cons: base of the station isn't wide enough on the lateral sides, sometimes I've had occasions where the entire apparatus would tip slightly.
I love my dip station! I got a yellow one, which just makes it fun. It is easy to set up and very sturdy!
